The Riverview Geodome offers one of the most unique and immersive stays at Hunter Valley Adventures Off Grid Wellness. Nestled along the scenic banks of the Upper Red Deer River, this unforgettable off-grid escape blends comfort, simplicity, and raw natural beauty into an experience designed to slow you down and reconnect you with the world around you.
With panoramic views and nature just beyond every window, the geodome invites you to unplug from the noise of modern life and settle into something quieter, softer, and infinitely more grounding.
Inside this cozy one-room retreat, you will find a comfortable double bed along with a trundle bed that functions as both seating and additional sleeping space for up to two more guests. Whether you are enjoying your morning coffee while watching the river drift past or curling up beneath a blanket after a day of exploring, every moment inside the dome feels connected to the landscape around you.
And once night falls, the real magic begins.
With no city lights competing overhead, the geodome transforms into a front-row seat to an endless canopy of stars. The dome structure creates the perfect atmosphere for stargazing, quiet reflection, and evenings spent listening to the sounds of the river flowing nearby.
There is no WiFi here. No running water except the river itself. No glowing screens interrupting the stillness.
Instead, you will discover the beauty of simplicity.
Guests are provided with an outdoor cooking station complete with a camp stove and BBQ, while the propane fireplace and outdoor seating area create the perfect space to unwind after a day of adventure. Our intentionally minimal facilities, including an outhouse, are part of the experience, encouraging guests to embrace a slower pace and reconnect with nature in a meaningful way.
The geodome is also the perfect basecamp for exploring the surrounding wilderness. Enjoy walk-and-wade fishing along the river, nearby hiking trails, scenic drives through breathtaking landscapes, and opportunities to spot Alberta’s famous wild horses. Adventure seekers can also head toward Ya Ha Tinda and Big Horn Falls to experience some of Alberta’s most remarkable scenery.
This is not a resort.
It is an invitation to stay wild in style.
