Cochrane Explore The Bow – The Changing of The Leaves Sunset Tour
Immerse yourself in the changing of the seasons as we paddle down the river at sunset.
Explore Cochrane from a brand new perspective. Hunter Valley Adventures is excited to provide a family friendly interpretive float on the Bow River through Cochrane. This unique and engaging experience that will allow you to explore the history of the town and the land from the water.
We will meet you at the parking lot by Jack Tennent Memorial Bridge to shuttle to the put in. Your trip will finish back by your vehicle. We provide the guide, the raft, and the lifejackets. No experience necessary, just bring your sense of adventure.

HALF DAY RAFTING
This trip hits all the big rapids of the Upper Red Deer River!
Meet up at our camp and we’ll dress you, then shuttle you to the put in. You’ll spend approximately 2 1/2 hours on the river seeing all the fun and adventure this river has to offer!
Experience some of the best whitewater in Alberta with a variety of Class II – III rapids, as we run through Gooseberry, S-bends, The Nationals, Rock Garden, H’s Ledge and more!

FULL DAY RAFTING
Arrive at our base where we will get you prepped and ready for your adventure!
After a shuttle to our put in at the base of the Eastern Slopes, you are ready for your safety talk and to hit the water!
Begin by taking in the beauty of the natural landscape as you follow the twists and turns of the river. You will then be ready for the big hits that the Red Deer Provides!

FAMILY RAFTING TRIPS

Arrive at our base where we will get you prepped and ready for your adventure!
After a shuttle to our put in at the base of the Eastern Slopes, you are ready for your safety talk and to hit the water!
Begin by taking in the beauty of the natural landscape as you follow the twists and turns of the river. Enjoy some incredible scenery and whitewater action that is safe enough for the whole family to enjoy.
Our Driver will then pick you up and after a quick shuttle, you will get back on the river just above Nationals. An exciting finish to a great day! Your trip ends right back at camp.

WHITEWATER CANOEING
Want to get up close and personal with the river and all she has to offer? Try whitewater canoeing with us! Being in smaller boats brings you closer to the rapids and giving you an exciting experience.
We GUARANTEE you’ll get wet on this one! Our guides will take you down the river in one of our inflatable canoes which is a great way to introduce yourself to a whole new level of excitement!

RAFT & REEL
Book a day in our fishing rig! Not only will you have access to all the sweet fishing spots that are otherwise inaccessible, you will have the adrenaline of hitting all the whitewater as well!
We supply all the gear, all you need to bring is your fishing license and a sense of adventure.

ADVENTURE QUEST
The Adventure Quest experience provides families and cohort groupings an opportunity to come together in the natural environment, to complete a series of challenges that test their outdoor knowledge and skills while working on communication and team building, and most importantly, building positive memories together. The group follows a story that leads them on their adventure, challenging them in the areas of outdoor education, team building, and survival skills.
There are two groupings available – one that is suitable for children aged 5 up to 12 and their family and then a second grouping for older youth or adult groups.
For younger groups please choose a story – fairytales, aliens, or knights.

Arrive the night before, spend your first day experiencing a full day trip, relive your adventures around the fire that night and then hit the water again the next day for a half-day trip.
Getting back to the basics is what Hunter Valley is all about. Our cookhouse is the perfect environment for group and family meals, campfires and memory making.
Our facility provides a true disconnection from our modern, technology driven society. Because there is no cell service there will be no interruptions from your cell phone or work email. The camp does have land-line phone service.

DAYTIME ARRIVAL
Enjoy a multi-day Adventure!
Arrive at camp that morning and get ready to hit the water. Enjoy the thrills of the full day trip and the opportunity to relive the excitement around the campfire that night.
The next day, sit back as you experience the half day trip and then return for another night of fun and memory making. We will see you off the following morning, but we trust it won’t be long until you return again.
