Kelly first came to Hunter Valley Adventures 23 years ago as a customer looking for adventure, but what she found was a home.

It wasn’t long before she became part of the river family, guiding full time and sharing her love of this river and this camp with others.

Nineteen years ago, Shea began joining her on trips to Hunter Valley and their children, now Sixteen and Fifteen, have been spending time here since they were babies.
As avid water and outdoor enthusiasts, it was a natural transition to take over Hunter Valley Adventures and continue its outstanding 40-Year tradition of providing customers with the best outdoor adventure opportunities.

With over 20 years of experience as an educator and lover of the outdoors Kelly’s goal is to provide you with an exceptional and personalized experience. She has been paddling, in either a kayak, canoe, or raft, for 20 years and is excited to share her passion with you. Her past experience includes leading and facilitating a wide variety of groups through outdoor activities, leadership exercises and team building events. She would be happy to discuss developing a personalized program that suits your needs.

Shea’s background in environmental sciences and renewable resources gives him a great appreciation for the surrounding forest and river setting. He is an avid fisherman, both fly fishing and spinning, with a strong understanding and respect of fish habitat and river sustainability. Canoeing and rafting are his passions and you will often find him joining trips on the river. One of his favourite places to be is in a boat and he can’t wait to share that excitement with you!
